Has your puppy or dog never done dog training? This is where you start. This 4-week class is designed for dogs 6 months and older that have never taken a group class. You will learn the ins and outs of basic handling skills through confidence-building exercises, as well as learning a few foundational skills in the process. This is a great place to start as there isn’t the pressure to pass a test.
We think the Group Class Prep Course is so important that we offer it six times a year! Our next classes start: INSERT CLASSES HERE
The AKC designed the Family dog program to help families teach manners to their pets while also promoting responsible dog ownership in our communities. Each class has a framework specifically designed to help you and your dog develop a lifelong bond through training and socialization. There are 4 stages of the Canine Good Citizen Program, each with a 6-week course.
Each 6-week course costs $135.

Trick Training is a great way to connect with your dog on a different level! It's also great for building confidence for our nervous nellies as well as providing mental enrichment to energetic, busy-bee pups! There is no age limit, ability level, or prerequisites! All you need is yourself, your dog, and some yummy treats! This class allows you to work towards the goal of a "trick dog" title through AKC. I offer the first 3 of 5 stages of trick dog titles. (The final two courses are more advanced than most wish to pursue for family dogs).
You and your pup will learn: Different novice tricks set by the AKC. They include: high five, speak, crawl, spin, touch, fetch, etc.

"After spending a lot of time with my mom’s senior dog, who was never well-trained or socialized, my husband and I were determined to be intentional about training when we added a dog to our family. When we got our puppy Georgie, we wanted her to be a great playmate for our children and obedient enough to join me at work or the coffee shop.
The Canine Good Citizen course has given us the confidence and skills we needed to become better dog owners. Not only did it cover the basics—like sit, stay, and come—but it also introduced us to skills we hadn’t considered, like calmly greeting strangers. We’re excited to take more group classes, including the Advanced Canine Good Citizen course and maybe even some trick classes!"
